This position requires a commitment to Dustex Canada Cleaning Solutions Inc.’s mission of honesty, care and respect. All offers of employment will be subject to an up-to-date and satisfactory Police Records Check, training and three months of initial probation. Positions require a driver licence and a vehicle.

Nature and Commitment:

In this role, you will be responsible for provision of housekeeping and janitorial duties with a wide variety of assigned tasks under the general direction of Management.

Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all the housekeeping and janitorial duties are carried out with consistency and client satisfaction. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring that Dustex Canada quality standard are maintained at its highest level both in the Residential and Commercial Sector of the company.

It is important that the successful candidate identifies and creates opportunities to enhance the Dustex Canada team by demonstrating a personal understanding, and appreciation for the mission, vision and values of Dustex Canada.

Responsibilities and Regulations:

  • Carry out all cleaning tasks as assigned by the client and management.
  • Identify proper supplies and equipment to carry out the task efficiently in order to ensure desired results.
  • Candidates are required to lift objects in excess of 20 pounds (areas that are not regular cleaned, i.e. couch, garbage removal, tables or desks).
  • Operation of vacuums, floor polishes and various cleaning products.
  • Cleaning responsibilities are mainly limited to indoors, however, you may be asked to assist with some outside duties (sweep the porch or the front entrance).
  • Sign out and sign in keys at the completion of shift.
  • Follow health and safety policies.
  • Wear uniform at all times while performing duties.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • 1 to 4 years’ experience in residential and or commercial sectors of the industry.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Driver license and a vehicle required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as a part of a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends and holidays.
  • Current and satisfactory Police Records check required.
  • WHIMIS certification is an asset.
