Job Title: Truck Driver
Location: Victoria, British Columbia
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $20.60/Hour

Position Summary

The position is responsible for ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods between Nanaimo, Victoria and Courtney Branches;

Deliveries to customer locations during trips between branches; transportation of b-train trailers back and forth from Nanaimo branch to sea span barge in Duke Point twice weekly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off driving of a b-train curtain side trailer set between Nanaimo branch and Duke Point Seaspan terminal
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods
• Load and unload truck and flat deck curtain side trailers correctly
• Provide excellent customer service
• Operate the delivery truck in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road
• Contribute to team effort and complete other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial driving
• Strapping and decking experience
• Mountain and chaining experience
• B-train experience
• Valid class 1 driver’s licence with airbrake certification
• Clear Driver’s Abstract
• Professional, friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
